address inequities and embrace their desires for self and community determination. We are
honored to work together with the two partners, Debra Wesley and Lauren Wesley.
DEBRA G. WESLEY
Debra Wesley is an award-winning human services founder, executive, social entrepreneur, and community change agent with a deep understanding of communities of color. While President Sinai Community Institute and Executive Vice President of Sinai Health Systems she became nationally recognized for her expertise in developing programs, community partnerships, and incubation of new organizations. Awards include Crains’s Business Notable Women in Healthcare, Midwest Asian Health Association Outstanding Partner Award, and the Unsung Heroine Cook County President’s Award. She currently serves on Chicago Mayor Lightfoot’s
Racial Equity Rapid Response Steering Committee, the Mayor’s Community Safety Coordination Center Launch Committee, and the City of Chicago Board of Health. She was awarded a Denali Initiative Social Enterprise Fellowship at Harvard University and holds an MSW from the University of Illinois.
LAUREN WESLEY
Lauren Wesley is a dynamic marketing, communications, public relations, and nonprofit
professional with more than 15 years of experience in brand and project management,
foundation and government grants, and fundraising. She is a published author whose work has appeared in numerous national publications including the Wall Street Journal. She holds masters degrees in clinical psychology and education from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Widener University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University of Louisiana.
